Karen Tramel Director of Marketing and Advertising
Karen Tramel serves as Allied’s Director of Marketing and Advertising. She accepted this role in July of 2008, and since that time, she has worked diligently in defining Allied’s marketing strategy and clearly and consistently communicating Allied’s message in the marketplace. She has been a key player in driving the brand transformation for the company.
Ms. Tramel is responsible for helping develop and coordinate Allied’s marketing efforts and various marketing platforms, including web site, print and media. She manages all the marketing and advertising projects for the company as well as campaigns to promote and brand Allied, including networking and sponsorship opportunities.
She has played an instrumental role in changing the face of Allied and broadening the avenues through which business/referrals are generated. She serves as the liaison with Allied’s ad agency, monitoring web site traffic and Internet marketing strategy, and she was an integral part of redesigning and rebuilding the content for Allied’s web site to more effectively communicate Allied’s message and to ensure the consistent use of Allied’s branding.
Ms. Tramel has been actively involved in Allied’s business since 2004, performing contract work in a variety of areas including project management, sales and marketing activities, and assisting Allied’s management and business development team.
Prior to her contract work with Allied, Ms. Tramel worked in marketing for a large health system in Fort Worth where she began as a Physician Relations Representative and was quickly promoted to Physician Relations/Network Development Manager. In that role, she managed the health system’s Physician Relations Department and oversaw the managed care contracting process for a 500 member physician group, reviewing, analyzing and negotiating managed care contracts on their behalf. Karen called on the physician sector to promote the use of the health system’s facilities, provide education, and create awareness of the services offered. She also identified opportunities for physician recruitment, employment and practice acquisition.
Karen has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas in Austin as well as a Master of Science degree in Health Care Administration from Texas Woman’s University.
